Content updated:
A diamond blade rated for the specific masonry application can cut brick. The correct choice depends on the brick type, equipment and finish required.
Clay brick, engineering brick and concrete block do not necessarily present the same cutting conditions. Give the supplier the material and thickness instead of describing every job as general masonry.
Confirm the marked application, diameter, bore and operating limits. Use the approved cutting method, guard and dust-control system. A tile or granite blade is not automatically a brick blade.
Review edge finish and cutting behaviour on representative material. If the cut becomes difficult, stop and check suitability and setup rather than forcing the disc. Keep the sample reference for repeat orders.
Once a brick-rated model and machine are identified, use the separate brick-cutting guide to plan the finish comparison.
| Initial check | Next action |
|---|---|
| The exact model is known | Read its approved application information |
| Only a diameter or colour is known | Obtain the reference before choosing |
| Brick type is unclear | Provide the available material description and a sample if requested |
| The machine is not identified | Confirm its requirements before ordering |
An affirmative answer for one model does not extend to every disc in the catalogue. Retain the confirmed model and brick application together on the order.
