An OEM or distribution partnership should define both product requirements and responsibilities. The useful starting point is the customer application and the range of blades needed to serve it.
Agree who supplies drawings, packaging artwork and application information. Clarify how samples, inspections, technical questions and complaints will be handled.
Keep an approved model reference and a process for accepting changes. A supplier should not substitute a similar-looking blade without the agreed review.
Review technical response, sample consistency and delivery communication over actual orders. Avoid treating generic claims of international partnerships as evidence of a specific supplier’s performance.
Packaging is one part of an OEM order. The working blade specification and the responsibilities for changes need their own approval.
| Task | Responsibility to agree |
|---|---|
| Blade specification | Who supplies and approves the drawing or model reference? |
| Artwork | Who supplies the file and approves the proof? |
| Sample | Who evaluates it and records the accepted result? |
| Changes | Who can approve a substitution or revised version? |
| Nonconforming goods | Who receives the report and what evidence is required? |
Keep artwork approval and sample approval as separate records. One confirms the presentation of the product; the other records the agreed product evaluation.
