Sintering uses a controlled thermal process to consolidate the diamond-bearing material. Temperature, time, pressure where applicable and the material system must be considered together.
The process must support the intended bond structure while avoiding damage to the components. There is no universal furnace-temperature table suitable for every diamond blade formulation.
Ask how the manufacturer monitors equipment, records process conditions and checks finished dimensions and performance. Furnace layout and temperature profiles vary with equipment and product design.
Request evidence connected to the quoted model and batch controls. A claim of advanced sintering should be supported by repeatable sample results and specification consistency, with the comparison method stated.
A furnace temperature on its own is not a useful way to compare suppliers. The question is whether the process record belongs to the blade and production version being evaluated.
| Record | Question for the review |
|---|---|
| Batch reference | Which prepared material or component batch was processed? |
| Equipment record | Which equipment and approved process record apply? |
| Process result | Were any departures recorded and assessed? |
| Finished inspection | How does the resulting blade connect to the approved specification? |
Ask for information that the supplier can share without disclosing proprietary formulations. A completed, traceable record is more useful to a buyer than an isolated impressive temperature.
