A diamond blade designed for the relevant concrete and machine can cut concrete. Suitability depends on the concrete condition, aggregate, reinforcement and cutting method, not simply on the presence of diamond grit.
Tell the supplier whether the job involves a slab, block or wall and whether reinforcement may be encountered. Do not assume every general-purpose or masonry blade is approved for reinforced concrete.
Confirm diameter, bore, marked speed limit and wet/dry use. Use the machine’s approved guarding and dust-control arrangements. Follow its operating instructions rather than a universal depth or feed recommendation.
Run an appropriate sample trial and record concrete type, machine, cut depth and wear. Compare blades under the same conditions when deciding on a wholesale specification.
Describe the intended concrete work before selecting a model. The brief is a request for application review, not a statement that every concrete condition is covered.
| Field | Information to provide |
|---|---|
| Workpiece | Slab, block, wall or another identified form |
| Concrete | Known material details and condition |
| Reinforcement | Whether it may be encountered and what is known |
| Machine | Model, permitted dimensions and operating method |
| Acceptance | Required cut and finish, with a trial record |
If a material detail is unknown, say so explicitly. A supplier can then identify what needs confirmation rather than treating a broad concrete label as a complete specification.
