Content updated:
MDF cutting requires a blade approved for MDF and the saw being used. Ordinary diamond tile and masonry blades are not the right default choice for wood-based panels.
Carbide-tipped woodworking blades and specialist PCD panel-processing tools belong to a different application category from the abrasive diamond blades used for tile and stone. The word “diamond” alone does not make the tools interchangeable.
State panel thickness, surface coating, machine model and required finish. Confirm diameter, bore and the manufacturer’s application instructions. Use the specified guarding and dust-control arrangements.
This is a material-compatibility guide, not an MDF product listing. Zhanyue’s displayed tile and stone blades should not be selected for MDF without explicit model-specific approval.
This article helps a buyer distinguish panel-processing tools from the tile and stone range. It is not an offer of an MDF cutting model.
| Panel enquiry | Detail to include |
|---|---|
| Board | MDF type, coating and thickness |
| Machine | Exact saw or processing-machine model |
| Finish | Visible face, edge requirement and later finishing |
| Tool request | A model explicitly approved for that application |
Keep the enquiry with a supplier of the appropriate tool category. If discussing a Zhanyue catalogue reference, identify it clearly so a tile blade is not mistaken for a panel blade.
