Only use a circular saw for stone if the saw manufacturer permits that material and the selected diamond blade. Installing a diamond disc does not convert an ordinary wood saw into a suitable stone-cutting machine.
Confirm the saw’s approved applications, guard, blade diameter, bore and dust-control arrangements. Never add water to equipment that is not designed for wet cutting. The blade’s speed limit and the machine’s requirements must both be respected.
Identify the stone and thickness, then confirm the blade specification and cutting method. Natural stone varies, so a general-purpose label does not replace application approval.
Send the machine make and model with the stone details. If the machine is not approved, use suitable equipment rather than trying an improvised mounting or cooling arrangement.
Identify the exact saw, including its model and intended work. A disc that physically mounts on the shaft is not sufficient evidence of an approved setup.
| Document check | Question |
|---|---|
| Machine application | Does the manufacturer permit this stone-cutting task? |
| Tool specification | Which blade type, diameter and mounting arrangement are permitted? |
| Operating method | What cooling or extraction arrangement is specified? |
| Workpiece arrangement | How is the material supported for this machine? |
If the machine documentation does not cover the task, obtain clarification or select suitable equipment. Do not treat an internet photograph of a similar saw as an operating instruction.
