Content updated:
An ordinary tile, stone or concrete diamond blade should not be used for steel unless its manufacturer explicitly rates that model for the task. Diamond hardness alone is not a compatibility approval.
A blade approved for a specified reinforced-concrete application is not automatically a general steel-cutting tool. The workpiece and operating conditions are different.
State the steel grade, profile, thickness and machine. Choose tooling specifically intended for that job and follow its operating instructions. Specialist metal-rated diamond tools do not establish suitability for other discs.
If a supplier lists only stone or tile uses, request a separate metal-application confirmation. This guide does not claim metal-cutting approval for the products displayed in the Zhanyue catalogue.
These are different application descriptions. The fact that a concrete job may involve reinforcement does not identify a general metal-cutting blade.
| Enquiry | Information to state |
|---|---|
| Steel section | Metal grade, section, thickness and machine |
| Reinforced concrete | Concrete workpiece, known reinforcement and intended method |
| Unknown material | Explain what is known and request application review |
Ask for approval of the exact model for the exact task. Keep the supplied marking and instructions with the reference instead of extending an approval from a different disc.
